Grocer Kroger won't be doling out any change to cash paying customers citing a coin shortage.
The grocery brand will, instead, put any coin change from a transaction on the customer's loyalty card, according to a WRDW report.
The company is also asking customers to 'round up' and donate any coin return to its Zero Hunger/Zero Waste Foundation.
The national coin shortage is due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, according to The Federal Reserve, given a deceleration of coin circulation via the national supply chain.
