Dressing rooms offering customized experience

January 30, 2012

When C. Wonder, a trendy boutique in Westfield Garden State Plaza in New Jersey, opened on Black Friday, customers were more excited about the fitting room than the strands of colorful bauble jewelry and preppy striped sweaters.

The boutique allows shoppers to customize their dressing room experiences, choosing their own music and lighting, according to North Jersey.com

Shoppers step past the velvet blue curtain, into their own spacious boudoir paneled with dark brown wood. A soft glowing screen about waist high on the wall allows them to adjust lighting and sound. Based on their moods, shoppers can select tunes from these categories: wonder-ful, excited, nostalgic, flirty, playful, confident, reflective and cool. A quick tap also allows the lighting to go from bright to dim, while a tap on a "need help?" icon notifies a sales attendant.
