Farmstead expanding refill/save program

March 12, 2019

In response to customer response, online grocer Farmstead is expanding its refill and save program by adding hundreds of items.

The program aims to help consumers get needed items faster than ever and avoid another trip to a grocery store, according to a press release.

Farmstead initially offered 25 top staples and will expand that to several hundred, including products from national brands such as La Croix, Newman's Own and Kerrygold.

"Online grocers and grocery delivery companies have traditionally struggled with profit margins," said Pradeep Elankumaran, co-founder and CEO of Farmstead, in the release. "Farmstead changed the entire business model with custom-built AI-powered software for predicting demand, stocking precisely, and sourcing directly with brands to get the lowest prices. Our technology has enabled Farmstead to provide customers with low prices while still optimizing profitability so we can grow the business."
