Four Winds Casino switches out LCD videowalls for LED displays
Four Winds Casino, based in New Buffalo, Michigan, has swapped out two LCD video walls with two large Nixel Series LED displays from NanoLumens. The casino selected NanoLumens displays because they are simpler to maintain and push video content than the older LCD solution, according to a press release.
The company deployed one 3-millimeter pixel pitch display at the entrance and the other at the front of the event center to announce events, promotions or sales. The Nixel series itself is made up of 12-feet wide by 6-feet long LED panels that can be combined for displays of all shapes and sizes, according to the release.
"When we considered the cost of constant maintenance, the difficulty in creating and delivering content across multiple panels, and the inescapable grid lines that cut through and distract from our content, a single, large, long-lasting, easily maintained display made the most sense," Musa Balogun, director of gaming maintenance, Four Winds Casino, said in the release. "I can't imagine a good reason to install a new multi-panel videowall today, since NanoLumens displays are better in every way."
