A little more than a year ago Google introduced Google Catalogs for iPad, followed by a similar app for Android. The apps were accessible only on tablet devices, until now.
Google announced in a blog post that its catalog shopping experience will now be accessible from the Web, allowing non-tablet shoppers a chance to browse the more than 300 retailer catalogs. Shoppers can view products alphabetically or by category and items link directly to a retailer's site to facilitate a purchase.
"Over time, we plan to incorporate catalogs more deeply throughout the Google Shopping experience, giving you more ways to find ideas and inspiration as you shop and engage with your favorite brands," the company said in the post.
