Gymboree taps Aptos tools to enhance customer experience

The Gymboree Corp. is deploying Aptos' POS and enterprise order management technology to integrate online and in-store operations to provide customers with a smooth omnichannel experience.

The children apparel and accessories retailer also uses Aptos' audit and operations management and analytics solutions. It will now deploy the Aptos Store POS solution to support secure transaction processing and serve as the hub for the customer, inventory and order information to provide consumers with rich interactions. With the Aptos Mobile Store, Gymboree associates can leverage the POS functionality without leaving the customer's side.

"Aptos Mobile Store will also give us the flexibility to support innovative new retail formats so we can bring the Gymboree brand experience to our busy and active customers in the communities we serve while providing added shopping convenience," David Sondergeld, vice president of IT and CIO at The Gymboree Corporation, said in a press release.

The order management technology, which will integrate with Aptos Store to offer complete view of inventory, orders and more across sales channels., will also integrate with Gymboree's existing eCommerce platform to allow Gymboree to manage all orders throughout their lifecycle, from initiation to fulfillment and back.

"Aptos Store and Aptos Enterprise Order Management will give Gymboree a next-generation customer engagement platform to deliver a unified shopping experience that transcends channels," said Sondergeld in the release. "The ability to bring an 'endless aisle' to our customers will ensure we never lose the opportunity to serve them and earn their loyalty."
