Ham brand deploys vending machines, digital signage at airport

Enrique Tomás, a Barcelona, Spain-based retail ham chain, has installed its Enrique Tomás GO!urmet branded vending machines and its digital signage platform at the Barcelona Airport, according to a press release.

The first phase includes a total of 30 machines, distributed throughout the Barcelona airport which offer the same quality and price as products found in the company's other points of sale.

Each of the machines is equipped with between one and five iiyama-branded 50-inch LCD screens, ensuring digital communication of the entire range of products.

The displays work as an all-in-one solution with the nsign.tv DS player integrated to reduce hardware investment and eliminate the need for external players.

The marketing department remotely manages the content on the screens while the IT team monitors the equipment.

"We wanted a software that was lightweight and could work with an internal player inside the screen to minimize the electronic components at the physical point," Jorge Cruz, CIO of Enrique Tomás, said in the press release.
