Hanoi replacing public hawkers with vending machines

Residents and tourists in Hanoi will be able to buy snacks, beverages, crafts and souvenirs from vending machines in public places by 2025 under a recently approved government plan intended to replace street hawkers, according to a tuoitrenews.vn report.

The government will announce the locations on a tourism website.

The machines will accept payment with cash, bank cards, online transactions and QR codes.
