Amazon Prime continues to baffle Americans with their incredibly fast shipping and delivery. Today, retailers are forced to compete with a company that seems to be redefining the norm. Although it can be daunting, it seems that Walmart is up for the challenge.
In May, Walmart announced two-day shipping and cut back the price of subscription to its ShippingPass service to $49 a year. That’s half of what Amazon members have to pay.
ShippingPass was originally a free three-day shipping service, but in efforts to provide products to customers faster, it is matching Amazon in this two-day delivery. Customers can try ShippingPass free, for one month, similar to Amazon Prime members, according to a CNN report.
Nonetheless, Amazon Prime still offers music, video, photo storage and free e-books.
But Walmart isn't backing down. Efforts are focused on connecting its website with the Walmart app in the near future.
