H&M announces garment recycling initiative

Global Swedish fashion firm H&M announced plans to start collecting old clothes to hand over to recycling. 

The world's second biggest fashion chain said it will start the collection next year and will hand over the used garments to I:Collect, a global recycling company, according to nbcnews.com.

"From February 2013, customers will be able to hand in used garments in H&M stores in all 48 markets," H&M said in a statement. Any items of clothing from any brand and in any condition would be accepted and customers would receive a voucher for each bag.
