Joann will close 500 stores

Joann, a well known arts and crafts retailer, is getting ready to close more than half its stores following its second bankruptcy filing.

The retailer will shutter 500 of its 800 locations, according to a New York Times report. The company called the decision "very difficult," according to a statement provided to the times.

The news comes just weeks after the retailer filed for bankruptcy for the second time in less than a year.
