Jones Lang LaSalle launches social media tool in retail sector

March 20, 2011

Jones Lang LaSalle Retail, a leading retail service provider, has added live retailer social streams on the websites of the centers it manages. The new platform is search engine friendly and fully integrates both top retailers' and individual properties' social streams into a unified web and mobile experience. Shoppers are able to view real-time posts from the mini-feed.

"Twitter and Facebook are leading avenues for retailers to communicate and interact with shoppers," said Julie Rickey, senior vice president and director of marketing, Jones Lang LaSalle Retail. "By engaging with our shoppers in an accessible and innovative way, we expect to increase traffic and help drive sales at the centers."

The strategy will be launched at all participating malls in a tiered approach.  Nine centers recently launched the new sites and 11 more are scheduled to launch on April 1.
