Las Vegas Freemont Street Experience taps Watchfire to renovate display canopy

The Fremont Store Experience in Las Vegas has selected Watchfire Signs to rebuild the LED canopy. Watchfire Signs will manufacture a display that is up to seven times brighter and four times sharper than the original, according to a press release.

The company will use its fabric-like module design, which allows airflow to go through the modules. This will help the display project light to the street and shed rain. This canopy will also increase contrast four times more than the previous display, which will enable daytime content for the first time.

The completed project will feature 130,000 square feet of digital signage, 16.3 million pixels, 49 million LEDs and 64,000 custom designed 27-millimeter modules.

Watchfire will begin the project in early 2019, and plans to complete it by the end of 2019.
