LevelUp, Cardpool partner for gift card exchange program

Cardpool can enable LevelUp users to sell their unused and partially-used gift cards in exchange for LevelUp credits.

Gift card exchange network Cardpool has announced a new agreement with LevelUp, a mobile payments and rewards platform. Through this agreement, Cardpool can enable LevelUp users to sell their unused and partially-used gift cards (both plastic and digital) in exchange for LevelUp credits. Once the gift card is exchanged, a LevelUp user may redeem the resulting credits at any of LevelUp's participating merchants.

"We have over 1.5 million unique users and more than 14,000 merchants that participate in our LevelUp program," said Seth Priebatsch, LevelUp founder and chief executive officer. "By partnering with Cardpool, we're giving our mobile users the widest range of payment options and accessibility, while driving incremental commerce for merchants that accept LevelUp."
