The Canadian software company LightSpeed today announced the release of its 3.7 Apple-based core platform. The software enables retailers to interact with consumers across channels, the announcement said.
The LightSpeed 3.7 platform includes ReportMaster, a customizable reporting engine that allows retailers to access store data such as sales and inventory, while also providing store owners with the ability to build and customize reports. Additional upgrades include support for Ingenico payment terminals and the Genius payment platform from Merchant Warehouse, according to the announcement.
Also in the platform is the LightSpeed Web Store 2.5, a solution that offers retailers a way to create user-friendly e-commerce. Key upgrades to the Web Store platform include improved inventory control and more social media integration.
"The biggest challenge facing retailers today is the ability to engage with consumers across all channels, including in-store, online and mobile," said Dax Dasilva, founder and CEO of LightSpeed. "Our new enhanced LightSpeed core platform gives retailers the ability to manage their retail operations across all these channels, providing store owners with the customizable tools needed to create an omni-channel experience through one unified, seamless product."
