Executive who was part of rebound strategy will leave come April

One of J.C. Penney's legacy leaders is retiring after nearly 40 years with the clothing and housewares retailer.
Ken Mangone was part of an executive team brought on three years ago to help the company rebound and rebuild under ex-CEO Mike Ullman, according to the Dallas News.
His last day on the job will be April 1 and he will be replaced by Val Harris who is being promoted to SVP of product development and design after serving as VP of product development.
