Macy's, Finish Line team for in-store shops

Macy's Inc. announced plans to open Finish Line footwear shops in more than 450 of its stores and online at macys.com.

Finish Line will operate as leased departments in the Macy's stores housing the shops, while the other locations will have their athletic footwear assortment and inventory managed by Finish Line, without the branding or staffing of the leased departments.

"Macy's large and profitable store portfolio, its customer base that is concentrated in a demographic that Finish Line has not penetrated to date, and most importantly, its customer-centric philosophy and omnichannel focus make them an ideal partner for us to broaden our reach beyond our bricks-and-mortar stores and our website," said Glenn Lyon, chairman and CEO of Finish Line.
