Modell's tapping Kronos mobile tech to enhance user experience

Modell's Sporting Goods is using Kronos Inc.'s Workforce /Dimensions cloud suite, a mobile solution, to enhance the employee experience as well as increase employee engagement.

The 130-year-old retailer, which operates more than 150 sporting goods stores, said the technology will empower all employees, from associates to field leaders, and drive greater productivity as well as inspiration to deliver a rewarding customer experience, according to a press release.

"Understanding that flexibility and work/life balance are key to recruiting and retaining the best talent, Modell's invested in the Workforce Dimensions solution, including automated task management capabilities, to deliver an enriched employee experience,” said the release.

Kronos Task Management helps associates prioritize actionable tasks and customer needs from any device. Modell's will use strategic labor insights and task data from Workforce Dimensions to better inform forecasting and scheduling, while providing transparency and streamlined execution.

Using the power of mobile, Modell's associates can complete actions from any device with Workforce Dimensions, including managing their daily workload, picking up or swapping shifts, requesting time off, viewing schedules, clocking in and out of shifts, and submitting support tickets.

Modell's has built an incredible workforce comprised of people who connect with our brand's customers and understand their needs, so retention is key," Jim Argerakis, senior vice president of operations, Modell's Sporting Goods, said in the release.
