Over half, 58%, of Father's Day shoppers expect to do all or most of their holiday shopping in-store, while 17% will do it all or mostly online.

The data comes from a Numerator report, its 2026 Q2 Holiday Preview, that also reveals Father's Day shoppers will spend an average of $113 on purchases, which could drive nearly $18 billion in consumer spending from U.S. adults, according to a press release.

Additional findings include:

  • 63% of U.S. consumers plan to celebrate Father's Day this year.
  • Among gift buyers, the top choices are apparel (36%), gift cards (34%) and tools or home improvement materials (27%).
  • 42% of Father's Day shoppers think rising prices will have a moderate or significant impact on their holiday shopping.
