Netflix, a subscription streaming service, is tapping the mall experience in its initial experiential strategy — a Netflix House that's opening in the King of Prussia Mall, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
House visitors can enjoy interactive game rooms in the 100,000-square-foot location, according to a Yahoo report. A second Netflix House will open in a Dallas mall in mid December and another is set for Las Vegas in 2027. The initial locations are part of a plan to open 60 worldwide
The goal, according to Netflix leaders, is to give Netflix fans something to talk about and drive brand loyalty.
The house also offer a 200-plus seat screening room for special public and private screenings of films, shows and live events, including its NFL games and WWE wrestling shows. There is also a gift shop.
Admission is free, but games and experiences have various ticket prices.
"This is the first permanent physical manifestation of Netflix for our fans," Marian Lee, CMO for Netflix, told NPR. "They've been inviting us into their homes for years and years."
