A new AT&T flagship store is set to open tomorrow on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile and aims to give customers a one-of-a-kind retail experience.
The flagship differs from the rest of AT&T's 2,300 retail stores not only in size, but also in design and amenities. Customers will get a glimpse of the future with previews of the AT&T Digital Life home security and automation services, which will allow customers to control their homes through their smart phones, as well as a teaser of a Nissan Leaf as a "connected car" that explains how technology can assist drivers.
Convenience gets taken to the next level too, as roving employees armed with mobile cash registers will make check-out seamless and painless.
"Our Michigan Avenue store is where customers can immerse themselves in everything AT&T is about and truly explore the technology we have to offer," said Paul Roth, president of AT&T retail sales and service. "AT&T is about delivering innovation that makes a difference in our customers' daily lives. All of that will be ready for customers to experience at our flagship store."
