NRF: Time for nationwide mask policy

As a growing number of retailers, from Walmart to Costco to Best Buy, initiate face mask mandates for shoppers, the National Retail Federation is calling on all retailers to launch the same requirements in order to protect consumers, store associates and partners as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage on worldwide.

The organization is applauding the increasing list of retailers that have already launched such a program and the list also includes Starbucks, BJ's Wholesale Club, Apple and the Quarate Retail Group, according to a NRF press release.

"Workers serving customers should not have to make a critical decision as to whether they should risk exposure to infection or lose their jobs because a minority of people refuse to wear masks in order to help stop the spread of the deadly coronavirus," stated the release.
