Panasonic debuts 4K displays

July 25, 2019

Panasonic Business recently unveiled six models for its CQ1 series of 4K displays. Ranging in size from 43 to 86-inches, these displays support 4K/60p signals for presentations in meeting rooms, classrooms and offices, according to a press release.

The displays come with 300 cd/m2 brightness and they support HDMI CEC to allow users to control connected devices from a single remote over RS-232C/LAN networks.

The larger displays feature in-plane switching panels for color accuracy and clear visibility and the smaller displays come with vertical alignment technology, according to the release.

"The CQ1 series was designed for lower budget organizations that require the freedom to collaborate, while being willing to compromise on the higher level of brightness and maintenance-free operation that the EQ1 and SQ1 series can offer," Huong Thanh Ngo, European product manager, Panasonic Business, said in the release. "For instance, in an education space where displays are mainly used for information sharing, 400cd/m2 is still deemed a good level of brightness while being suited to shorter running times."

All six displays will be available for sale in September 2019.
