Retail assistant of the future flies off sales shelves

What retailer doesn’t want to one day experience what Softbank experienced this weekend when it put its “Pepper” robot went on sale.
A 1,000 Peppers were sold in just the first minute, according to published reports late Sunday.
The robot product, which is selling for about $1,500 in U.S. dollars, will be delivered starting in July. It is the first personal robot featuring touch sensors, a microphone and a camera.
The initial sale was on the consumer side but Softbank said it will start selling fpr companies and for business use, with the robot potentially serving as a retail shop assistant. The next consumer sale is reportedly going to happen in July and international sales later in 2015.
