Prada taps Oracle cloud tech for retail processes

The Prada Group is using Oracle technology to analyze historical data and market demands across its global retail network of 634 stores.

The Oracle tools, which include merchandise financial planning, assortment and item planning, will also let Prada optimize merchandising process as well as performance analysis, inventory management, supply chain and inventory allocation, according to a press release.

The enhanced inventory optimization will also help the fashion retailer deliver an enhanced customer experience, and Prada is also hoping to boost customer relations at point of purchase using Oracle's retail customer engagement cloud service and retail Xstore point of service.

The tools provide real-time insight to all customer related details which will help Prada provide a personalized shopping experience.

Our collaboration with Oracle is part of our wider strategy focused on enhancing our group with a strong investment in technology to boost operational efficiency and effectiveness," said Lorenzo Bertelli, Prada Group, head of marketing and communication, in the release.
