A Yieldify report expects the retail segment to enjoy a 28% spike in revenue growth this holiday season compared to last year's revenue.
The research report, The Shape of Peak to Come, polled over 400 U.S. and U.K. retail marketers. Less than 10% surveyed expect a flat or negative result for Black Friday and the holiday shopping season, according to a press release.
Most optimistic are U.S. retailers, with nearly half, 49%, expecting a revenue growth ranging between 25% and 75% compared to last year. In terms of retailer segments, pure e-commerce retailers aren't as positive, with just 20.3% expecting no change from last year.
"The report attests to the trends we've seen in recent years with our clients — what used to be a race to the bottom for discounts has evolved into a more diverse set of approaches to the traditional peak season. With competition stronger than ever, it pays to be different as much as it pays to discount," said Jay Radia, CEO and founder at Yieldify, in the release.
