ShopperTrak, a company that analyzes foot traffic data for retailers, today announced its acquisition of surveillance analytics startup ReTel Technologies.
ShopperTrak will integrate ReTel's technology with its Managed Service to deliver shopper insights to retailers. Once available with ShopperTrak's core offerings, the new capabilities will provide retailers with access to customer demographics, queue analysis, speed-of-service and sales process effectiveness.
In the press release announcing the deal, ShopperTrak Chief Marketing Officer Ed Marcheselli said, "ReTel's technology serves as an ideal complement to our industry-leading people counting service. In addition to our existing suite of retail traffic analytics, ShopperTrak will be offering insight into store performance factors that directly affect both the customer's experience and the retailer's revenue."
