Staples launches Microsoft Match

Staples will utilize Microsoft Match to pair customers with the right Windows devices.

May 8, 2015

Staples, this week, launched Microsoft Match, a program that helps customers determine the best Windows device for their needs. The platform is available exclusively in select Staples stores and online via Staples' website.

"At Staples, we're making it easy for customers to find the best device for their needs with the Microsoft Match program," Peter Scala, Staples' executive vice president of merchandising, said in a statement. "Information from Microsoft Match will enable Staples EasyTech associates to provide even more targeted recommendations so business customers can take full advantage of the Microsoft suite of programs for running their business."

How it works
Microsoft Match asks customers a few questions aimed at finding the benefits and features they deem most important and gives them access to inventory across the chain's stores and warehouses. It also allows customers to receive delivery wherever and whenever they choose, according to a company release.

"The Windows ecosystem provides a tremendous array of device options for customers," Peter Han, vice president of worldwide OEM marketing for Microsoft, said in a statement. "The new Microsoft Match tool from Staples will help customers identify their ideal Windows device in a new and engaging way."
