Supermarket taps Oracle to boost customer services, save on network costs

August 20, 2019

Importadora Ricamar, also known as supermarket Super 99, is deploying the Oracle SD-WAN throughout its network to boost the customer experience, reduce communication costs by $20,000 a month and improve network performance and reliability.

Since the deployment Super 99 has seen improved application up-time, fewer internal network issues, more efficient networking topology and lower latency between data center and storage sites, according to a press release.

"Savvy retailers evolving to stay relevant in the digital economy are learning that a network providing superior performance, flexibility and security can quickly become a key competitive differentiator for enterprises worldwide," said Doug Suriano, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications, in the release. "In light of the role the network plays in retail today, SD-WAN is a crucial component for raising the quality of service required to successfully meet consumer needs."
