Survey ranks retailers on customer experience

September 19, 2013

RetailCustomerExperience.com has launched the second edition of its Best Retail Customer Experiences report just as retailers gear up for the holiday season.

RCE surveyed more than 1,000 customers to discover their feelings about many of the top retailers in the country. In this 55-page report, readers will discover which retailers came out on top when it comes to customer service, stores aesthetics, online experience, product variety and use of technology. Consumers also weighed in on apps, online vs. brick-and-mortar, loyalty programs and more.

Consumers ranked their favorites in the following retail segments:

  • Apparel
  • Department stores
  • Drug/Pharmacy
  • Entertainment
  • Supermarkets
  • Office Supply
  • Home Improvement
  • Home & Kitchen
  • Electronics

This second edition includes a look at how customers are interacting with brands in similar areas related to the customer experience. It examines their preferences for loyalty programs, what retailers they follow on social media, how they use and respond to in-store technology and more.

Also included: 87 charts and graphs that breakdown consumer thoughts on all aspects of the customer experience.

"Executing great retail is more complex than ever before, but there are some companies that are doing it right," said James Bickers, senior editor of Retail Customer Experience. "This report not only singles out some of those brands, but gives perspective on how they are succeeding, and how other retailers can learn from them."
