Target Canada President promises 'new shopping experience'

Canadian shoppers got their first taste of Target as the retailer opened its first three locations north of the border today. According to an article on ctvnews.ca, Target Canada President Tony Fisher told reporters touring one of the stores that his locations would deliver on customer experience.

"There's an engaging team who will engage with you while you're shopping, to ask, 'Can I help you find something?'" he said. "That's going to be a new shopping experience that's going to be totally unique in Canada."

Other shoppers said they hope more competition will also bring out better customer service from Target's rivals.

"I definitely think it's going to give Walmart a run for its money," said one woman outside one of the pilot locations, in the article. "Definitely going to get them step up their customer service, which has been lacking for years."
