Target has launched Returns with Drive Up, a free service where customers can return items without having to leave their vehicle.
It's up and running at hundreds of U.S. stores, according to a press release, and the retailer aims to have it in place at all of its 2,000 U.S. locations by the end of summer.
When the service is available at a local store, guests see the option appear in their Target app. Guests can return most new, unopened items within 90 days of purchase — and up to a year for Target-owned brands — for free.
"Our journey to expand our fulfillment options starts with making it easier for our guests to shop with us. That's why we're launching Returns with Drive Up. Allowing our guests to process a return from the comfort of their car underscores our commitment to helping our guests shop — and return — however they choose," Mark Schindele, EVP and chief stores officer, said in the release.
