HubEdu.com has officially launched today with the goal of helping college bookstores increase sales. HubEdu's College Bookstore Initiative provides a state-of-the-art software suite at no cost to partner stores, according to a company press release.
The company works with schools and stores on an individual basis to integrate systems and price comparison into student purchasing, ensuring that all sales within the school are captured, monetized and understood. To help stores better compete with online merchants, HubEdu provides a detailed inventory analytics system which optimizes in-store pricing with no sacrifice to overall store margin, founder and CEO of HubEdu, Jonathan Simkin, said in the release. Further, detailed tracking systems help stores view student-specific purchase behavior in an effort to better understand and monetize students.
"At HubEdu, we recognize that traditional brick and mortar stores are the critical center of the college ecosystem," Simkin said. "Our bookstore partnership program is a 'win-win' as our program provides campus stores with a rich portfolio of software solutions at no cost and with no subscription fees. Our revenue is success based, meaning that it is solely dependent on the incremental business we drive to partner stores."
