When it comes to brand text messaging it seems consumers are paying attention — 75% report that SMS from brands routinely drive them to make a purchase and that includes an immediate online purchase or an offline store visit.
That's a top finding from a Vibes survey that polled over 1,000 mobile-centric consumers to determine how consumers interact with brands via the smartphone.
The report also revealed 54% reported having made a purchase based on a brand's mobile wallet offer, according to a press release on the survey. One in four consumers said they now use mobile wallet passes more than once a week.
"Every time we've conducted the Consumer Insights survey, we've seen tremendous year-over-year gains in consumer enthusiasm for SMS from the brands they love, as well as how they're adopting and using Mobile Wallet," Alex Campbell, Vibes co-founder and CIO, said in the release.
