Toys R Us e-commerce presence gets a new life thanks to Target

While no longer a brick-and-mortar player after going bankrupt, Toys R Us is partnering with Target to relaunch an e-commerce channel, ToysRUs.com, giving the former toy seller an online presence just in time for the holidays.

It will also prove lucrative for Target's holiday toy sales effort, according to a CNBC report.

Shoppers visiting the website will be directed to Target.com's site to complete a sales transaction.

Last year, Target greatly expanded its store space for toys with about 100 locations getting a full remodel in toy aisles, noted the report.

The news comes a few months after Target announced it was opening Disney stores within its locations. About 25 of those are open.
