Clothing retailer UNIQLO has announced the fall opening dates for its ten new mall stores in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and California — strategically placed surrounding the brand's current flagship stores on the East and West Coasts.
To celebrate, UNIQLO created the UNIQLO USA app for Apple products (Android version slated for later this year) which encourages shoppers to use the built-in Virtual Cam on logos and icons to unlock videos, special promotions and tips on new arrivals. The app also lists current employment opportunities and includes weekly favorites and a store locator.
The retailer's website will also get an upgrade, as the company said the site will be more interactive, with digital life tools, how-to videos and in-depth product information.
"We are delighted to announce the opening dates of our incredible new locations and can't wait for our customers to enjoy the shopping experience at a UNIQLO store," said Larry Meyer, COO of UNIQLO USA and Fast Retailing Group SVP. "We have dedicated fans and believe our world class customer service, innovative products, high quality fabrics and large variety of styles made to improve people's everyday lives will entice a whole new group of customers."
