Unused gift cards hit $21B mark

Consumers aren't rushing out to use gift cards, often cited as the most wanted holiday item, which now total about $21 billion.

In fact half of adults have unredeemed cards totaling about $167 on average, according to a CNBC report, and more than a third likely won't use all of the card value.
