UPS mulling hefty package delivery service option

The United Parcel Service is reportedly in talks with a trucking outfit regarding an at-home delivery option for big, bulky products.

Currently UPS, as well as FedEx, limit parcel weight to a maximum of 150 pounds and leaves items at a doorstep.

The news, reported by Reuters, comes at a time when everyone from Amazon to Walmart are racing to provide consumers with as many delivery and pick-up options as possible given consumer demand for such service alternatives.
