The familiar greeters at Walmart stores are being transformed into 'customer hosts,' who will do much more than welcome customers.
The hosts will do tasks involving ladders and handling heavy items, according to a USA Today report.
The revamp of the greeter job is not going over well with many greeters as they fear losing their jobs, noted the report. There have been three complaints to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and a federal lawsuit in Utah alleging discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act relating to the greeter role changing.
