Walmart offers inclusive back-to-school shopping experience

Walmart is aiming to make back-to-school shopping easier for those customers managing sensory disabilities.

The inclusive effort features sensory-friendly hours on Saturdays in July and August, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m, according to a press announcement.

"We are striving every day to create a culture where everyone feels they belong. This year, Walmart is taking steps toward creating a quieter shopping environment that's more enjoyable for customers who live with sensory disabilities," stated the announcement.

The experience is akin to when wholesaler Costco provided special shopping hours for seniors during the pandemic.
