Walmart is reportedly getting its own subscription service, called Walmart+, ready for launch and it's being viewed as a direct competitor service to Amazon's Prime program.
The subscription, according to a Vox report, will cost $98 a year and includes same-day delivery, gas discounts at Walmart stations and early peeks at products.
Walmart leaders declined to comment on the report, according to Vox. The strategy comes 15 years after Amazon launched its loyalty program that has 150 million-plus members.
