Coinstar's redbox and Walmart have struck a deal to allow the retail giant to continue featuring redbox kiosks at more than 3,700 Walmart locations nationwide.
"Redbox is proud to be located at America's favorite retail destinations and to extend our relationship with Walmart," Maria Stipp, chief customer officer of Coinstar, said in a press release. "A key component to our success is our extensive retail footprint as it provides consumers greater access to movies and games at a low price."
Now with more than 28,000 locations nationwide, redbox kiosks were first installed in Walmart stores in 2006. More than two thirds of the U.S. population currently lives within a five-minute drive of a redbox kiosk.
