The nation's top retailer is piloting a robotic kitchen assistant at its headquarters to determine if the technology is a good fit to use within store deli departments.
"Flippy," is powered by AI from Miso Robotics and first arrived as a burger-flipping assistant at a CaliBurger franchise in California.
Walmart's interest, according to a Yahoo report, came after Flippy appeared at Dodger Stadium and was being used by food service company, Levy Restaurants.
Walmart's interest is eliminating repetitive tasks now done manually.
