Wincor expands loyalty software capabilities

January 29, 2009

PADERBORN, Germany — Wincor Nixdorf has expanded its software portfolio for international retail companies to include new functions to enable central control of processes at the store level. Expansion of the TP Application Suite is intended to help increase process efficiency, cut IT costs and help retailers stand out better from the competition.

TPLoyalty, the name of the new software module, supplies the mechanisms required for implementing individual bonus programs and customer services at the store, conducting targeted campaigns, and simple administration of customer cards and accounts. Retail companies can use a Web service to access customer data and histories centrally, anytime and anywhere. Sales promotions and bonus programs can also be administered and controlled centrally. Various functions complement the software package, such as a module for static and dynamic customer segmentation or the operation of service points that allow customers to create customer cards or obtain customer account information in self-service mode.

This software package also contains existing functions from the TP Application Suite. They include tools for store configuration, software distribution, system monitoring, selective configuration and execution of enterprise-wide marketing and price strategies, as well as online business intelligence platform for delivering up-to-date analyses. "With this expansion of the TP Application Suite, Wincor Nixdorf paves the way for retail companies to move from mass marketing to a rigorous customer orientation and the implementation of individual customer wishes," said Achim Schlangenotto, Vice President Retail Store Solutions at Wincor Nixdorf.

As an end-to-end software portfolio, the TP Application Suite ensures that all retail-specific processes for all players dovetail, with the objective of increasing added value by meshing and simplifying processes and making them leaner and more transparent. Over fifty retail companies have already chosen this software, accounting for around 80,000 licenses sold in some fifty countries worldwide.
