Amazon enacts return fee for UPS users

Amazon customers who decide to return an item via a UPS store now will pay a $1 fee.

Returns to Amazon's Whole Foods supermarkets, its Amazon Fresh grocery stores or a Kohl's store remain free, according to a CNN report.

The news comes as other retailers, including H&M and Zara, are charging customers for online returns.

The National Retail Federation has reported that shoppers returned about 17% of all merchandise last year, reflecting $165 million in merchandise returns.
