ANC launches digital media network at the Howard Hughes Pier 17

September 18, 2018

ANC recently installed a digital media network at The Howard Hughes Corp's Pier 17 retail location in Lower Manhattan. The network includes more than 2,000 square feet of 4-millimeter outdoor LED displays, according to a press release.

ANC deployed an LED ceiling and ribbon displays around the three levels of the building's atrium space. The company also provided column displays, which have four flat sides. This enables content to go from column to column, without any gaps between the displays.

The Howard Hughes Corp. plans to turn Pier 17 into a retail destination with outdoor bars, a concert venue, restaurants and more. ANC provided its LiveSync operating system for content management. Pier 17 can feature individual content on each display or synchronize them together.

"Providing a customized product solution to Pier 17 has enabled ANC and The Howard Hughes Corporation to deploy the newest technologies into the building’s design," Jerry Cifarelli, vice chairman and founder, ANC, said in the release. "ANC's immersive technology and ongoing services are designed to further the Seaport District's transformation into a retail, dining and entertainment destination unlike any other in New York City."
