Big Lots moving online

BusinessWeek: Big Lots, the nation's largest broadline closeout retailer, said it will retain the "treasure hunt atmosphere" found in its stores by offering online shoppers daily discounts on certain items, such as televisions and digital cameras. The BigLots.com site debuts in time for the holiday shopping season, which is expected to be one of the most challenging in years as consumers curb their spending amid troubled economic conditions and credit worries.
