Big Y Foods, Inc. and AisleBuyer LLC have announced a partnership to provide Big Y's customers with a mobile application for iPhone and Android devices that seeks to deliver a new level of customer service and empowerment. Built on AisleBuyer's mobile commerce platform, the feature-rich application will allow Big Y to give customers a personalized shopping experience while helping them save money on purchases, according to the companies.
As one of the largest independently owned supermarket chains, Big Y prides itself on its customer-centric focus. In order to strengthen its value to customers, Big Y chose AisleBuyer mShop to power its mobile application, which allows shoppers to scan barcodes to view and compare product and nutrition information, access customer reviews and receive personalized coupons and offers.
"Big Y has always focused on creating the best possible customer experience for shoppers," said John Schnepp, Big Y director of advertising. "The development of our mobile application brings a new level of service and convenience to our customers by leveraging devices they already take wherever they go. With the Big Y application, we can provide a more personalized experience to every customer that walks into our stores."
Using the application, customers will be able to compile shopping lists and access a digital store locator that features hours, directions and contact information. The app will also include localized digital circulars, which provide current sale information and targeted coupons based on the nearest store location, ensuring that customers have accurate and up-to-date information for their local Big Y.
"In the competitive grocery market, Big Y has always been renowned for its commitment to service," said Andrew Paradise, AisleBuyer CEO. "By enabling customers to shop using the mobile devices they love, Big Y is delivering best-in-class customer service."
