Business agility key priority but no one wants to spearhead it

A West Monroe Partners survey reveals that while business agility is a top focus, few executives are willing to take ownership of the critical strategy.

Being nimble and adapting quickly is a top priority for nearly two-thirds of organizations, but very few have the capabilities to push such a strategy, and no corporate role has emerged as a primary owner of the strategy, stated a press release on the survey.

"Customer behavior is changing as fast as digital capabilities evolve, and firms that respond too slowly or are too vested in existing business models find themselves eclipsed by newcomers or big technology outsiders," said Paul Hagen, senior principal and West Monroe leader for customer experience and innovation strategy, in the release.
