The California Department of Motor Vehicles has installed 14 self-service kiosks at San Francisco area grocery stores so drivers can renew vehicle registrations and receive the hard copy faster than if they renew online, according to sfgate.com.
Drivers renewing registrations online usually wait for the registration and sticker to be mailed within five business days.
The kiosk also helps people file for a planned non-operation status to store a vehicle.
Those planning to use the kiosk need to bring their most recent registration.
